The Eagle in the Storm

The Eagle in the Storm

Psalm 105:16-22 (NKJV)
Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. 17 He sent a man before them– Joseph–who was sold as a slave. 18 They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. 19 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. 20 The king sent and released him. The ruler of the people let him go free. 21 He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.

The storm is coming and the Eagle has been walking around on the ground…

It sees all the earthbound creatures scurrying to gather food and run to shelter…

The chipmunks and the squirrels, the foxes and even the small birds are all heading for their nests and their dens to be safe from the coming storm…

But the Eagle just walks around without a care…

It’s looking for something…

It finds a fallen tree…

It hops onto it and locks its claws into it and waits…

The Eagle looks for a tree

Then the storm hits…

The wind blows the rains fall but the eagle just holds on to the fallen tree…

Every other creature is hiding in the nests and dens but the Eagle just holds on to the fallen tree and does not worry…

The Eagle is not moved by the storm!!!

Then, there is a change in the air… The down draft has come!

The eagles shakes itself and spreads its wings and flaps them…

When the wind is just right and she jumps and flaps her wings

She is off into the air!

She flies above the clouds and rides the thermals without a care…

When trouble comes, we, like the eagle must hold onto something…

The Eagle has a fallen tree… We have The Word of God!

Trust In The Lord! No matter what happens… wind and rain, storms with lightening’s and thunder!

When the downdraft comes the Eagle leaps into the air and flaps its wings and climbs high above the storm!

Trust The Lord and His Word!

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Eagle Takes Off!

We are not to be Earth Bound like all the others!

We are not to run scared when things go wrong looking for our extra supplies and running to shelter!

Your troubles are not just about you…

There are so many others that will be affected by the way you go through the storm…

An entire Nation depended upon Joseph… even though they didn’t know it!

We are to latch on to God’s Word and Hold On just Praising Him waiting for our “Word to come” like it did for Joseph!
