Seven Good and Seven Lean

Seven Good and Seven Lean

We are living in a day when God has heard the prayers of His People…

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The Lord has begun to “Heal our Land”…

In this time of Healing we need to be “good and faithful servants”…

Matthew 25:14-30

“For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. 15 To one he gave five bags of silver, to another two bags of silver, to another one bag of silver, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five bags of silver went at once and traded with them, and he made five bags more. 17 So also he who had the two bags made two bags more. 18 But he who had received the one bag went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money. 19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 2  And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five bags of silver; here I have made five bags of silver more.’ 21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ 22 And he also who had the two bags of silver came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two bags of silver; here I have made two bags of silver more.’ 23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ 24 He also who had received the one bag of silver came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your bag of silver in the ground. Here you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27 Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the bag of silver from him and give it to him who has the ten bags of silver. 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

The Lord has given gifts and talents to each of us and according to our ability He expects us to bring Him increase into the Kingdom from using them…

We need to make sure that we are hearing from God and doing what He wants us to do so we will hear: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”

Now, when it comes to giving to God… Money, time, gifts or talents this should help you understand it…

1 Chronicles 29:14

But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!

I am seeing something very Prophetic in this current time…

We need to look to The Word of God…

Genesis 41:15-40

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.” 16 Joseph replied; “It is beyond my power to do this. But God can tell you what it means and set your mind at ease.” 17 So Pharaoh told Joseph his dream. “In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile River, 18 and I saw seven fat, healthy cows come up out of the river and begin grazing in the marsh grass. 19 But then I saw seven other cows who were sick looking cows, scrawny and thin and they came up after them. I’ve never seen such sorry looking animals in all the land of Egypt. 20 These thin, scrawny cows ate the seven fat cows. 21 But afterward you wouldn’t have known it, for they were still as thin and scrawny as before! Then I woke up. 22 “Then I fell asleep again, and I had another dream. This time I saw seven heads of grain, full and beautiful, growing on a single stalk. 23 Then seven more heads of grain appeared, but these were blighted, shriveled, and withered by the east wind. 24 And the shriveled heads swallowed the seven healthy heads. I told these dreams to the prophets and priests, but no one could tell me what they mean.” 25 Joseph responded, “Both of Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God is telling Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do. 26 The seven healthy cows and the seven healthy heads of grain both represent seven years of prosperity. 27 The seven thin, scrawny cows that came up later and the seven thin heads of grain, withered by the east wind, represent seven years of famine. 28 “This will happen just as I have described it, for God has revealed to Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do. 29 The next seven years will be a period of great prosperity throughout the land of Egypt. 30 But afterward there will be seven years of famine so great that all the prosperity will be forgotten in Egypt. Famine will destroy the land. 31 This famine will be so severe that even the memory of the good years will be erased. 32 As for having two similar dreams, it means that these events have been decreed by God, and they will happen soon! 33 “Therefore, Pharaoh should find an intelligent and wise man and put him in charge of the entire land of Egypt. 34 Then Pharaoh should appoint supervisors over the land and let them collect one-fifth of all the crops during the seven good years. 35 Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh’s storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. 36 That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt. Otherwise this famine will destroy the land.” 37 Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. 38 So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the Spirit of God?” 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. 40 You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.”

I believe we are in a time that is similar to the Days of Joseph!

The Lord has turned the economy of America and we are seeing some very good years right now… I believe they will continue for several more but…

The lean years are coming!

We need to be good stewards NOW and prepare for the bad times like Joseph told Pharaoh to do.

Instead of spending more during the good years we need to SAVE MORE! Then, when the hard times come and others are in terrible shape we will have plenty and be able to be a blessing to others in need!
