Belief opens the Gates of the Spiritual Realm to the Gifts of the Holy Spirit; Faith, Healings and Miracles.

A man cried out to Jesus: “Lord. I believe! Help my unbelief!” Somehow this man understood the spiritual battle he was fighting and losing… He “believed” with his mind but his heart was full of unbelief… He knew he lacked Faith!

When people say they believe they usually mean that they agree with God’s Word in their minds (this is only “mental assent”). The sad thing is that Faith does not reside in the mind; it is in the Spiritual Realm and can only reside in the heart. This is why so many prayers go unanswered…

Matthew chapter 17 tells us how Jesus was transfigured on the mountaintop but when He came down from the mountain He was confronted by the father of a demon possessed boy. Let’s look at it:

Matthew 17:14-20 (NKJV) 14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20  So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

So, this is where we find out about the “Battle” between “Mustard Seed Faith” and “Unbelief”…

The Disciples had cast out demons before… They had prayed for the sick and seen signs and wonders but now all they had was a “unprofitable Pentecostal Prayer meeting” where they “Prayed, Shouted and Commanded” but nothing happened! How often have we seen this take place in our own lives?

They knew that they “believed” but they did not realize that “unbelief” they had was hindering them from entering into the Spiritual Realm and receiving what they desired.

So Jesus simply told them “the Truth” they needed to hear to be set free. It was the last thing Jesus said to them:

Matthew 17:21 (NKJV) 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

In other words… there had to “Fight the good fight” to be able to get that “Mustard Seed of Faith” from the Spiritual Realm into their hearts!

Just when belief is about to open the Gates, Unbelief hinders you from entering! You see the miraculous but cannot get to it. Jesus said “Only Believe”. So that means we must fight the “good fight of faith” and come against doubt, fear, anxiety, etc. All these things that make up unbelief!

Praise and thanksgiving help you enter through the Gates into the Spiritual Realm! The Bible says: “Enter his Gates with Thanksgiving and His Courts with Praise!” This gives you entrance through the Gates into His Courts!

The Word also says: “Bless the Lord, 0 my soul, and remember His Benefits… He forgives all our sins and He heals all our diseases.” Trying to believe and receive from God is just impossible because of unbelief working against you in your mind.

To fight the good fight of faith you have to give thanks and praise to God and do what the Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we must “Cast down imaginations and bring every thought into captivity”. When we do that we are fighting “The good fight of faith”.

This fight can last for a while so don’t get discouraged! As we continue to fight we must offer up Praise and Thanksgiving to enter the Spiritual Realm. That’s when His peace will break through and you will enter through His Gates into His Courts and BELIEF WILL GIVE BIRTH TO FAITH!

John 15:7 (KJV) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

When we have fought the good fight casting down imaginations and offered praise and thanksgiving unto Him we will find that His Word will abide in us and you will find that all of His Promises are “Yea and Amen”! 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

You will receive Faith in your heart and enter through His Gates into His Courts and you will be able to receive whatever it is that you are asking for because you now long have “doubt, fear and anxiety”… Because you now “Only Believe”!
